Feeding an army
When you have a large family it can feel like your feeding an army. Especially when your dealing with growing pre-teens/teens. The amount of food we can go through in a day is scary. We also like to eat really healthy and fresh as much as we can, unfortunately
that really adds up when your feeding a large family. I have tried several tips and tricks over the years but nothing made a big difference. I spent the summer reading up on on how families would eat during the depression and war time and reading blogs by other large families and the one thing that was a constant over all was a garden. From this I birthed my newest and hopefully greatest idea yet. The indoor garden!

I have started an indoor vegetable garden in my garage. I built some shelves, got some grow lights off amazon and have been hoping for the best.
I planted things like
- Cucumber
- Kale (already grown in a pot at the grocery store)
- Endive
- Broccoli
- Bell peppers
- Tomatoes
- and a few other things
